Customer Reviews: Average Rating:  Rating : - The Evidence Is There To Support Lee Harvey Oswald's Guilt; It's Just Been Ignored Or Skewed By Conspiracy Theorists
Lee Harvey Oswald (by himself) assassinated U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy on November 22, 1963. I know, however, that many (or even most) JFK conspiracy theorists (CTers) believe -- or say they do at any rate -- that no "real" or "valid" evidence exists to place President Kennedy's accused murderer, Lee Oswald, in that sniper's window on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository on 11/22/63.
But no matter how many times the general pro-conspiracy population spouts this stupid and untrue argument about their belief that "No Valid Evidence" exists against Oswald, it will still be stupid and untrue.
Because there's gobs of solid, valid evidence to show that Lee Oswald fired shots at President Kennedy from the TSBD (both PHYSICAL evidence and a huge amount of circumstantial evidence, which can be just as firm and solid and valid as any physical evidence).
The CTers just wish to totally ignore this evidence pointing to the ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD TO WHOM ALL OF THE EVIDENCE IN THE CASE LEADS -- namely: Lee H. Oswald. (All of this "evidence" against Oswald must certainly have been "planted" by evil conspirators, say CTers without batting an eye and without a grain of PROOF to substantiate such a wide-sweeping blanket claim of planting. It's interesting, isn't it, that CTers demand PROOF that the evidence WASN'T planted; and yet they seek no true and verifiable PROOF to show that any "planting" took place at all. No witnesses to ANY of the many planted items. Nothing. It's just a "given fact" somehow, i.e., an "assumed-to-be-correct" part of the overall conspiracy. It's as faith-based as is a belief in the Almighty Himself. Pfffttt.).....
1.) CTers CHOOSE to ignore Howard Brennan's IDing Oswald positively as the TSBD gunman. Plus Brennan's relatively-accurate description of Oswald WELL BEFORE he (Brennan) ever saw Oswald on TV or in the papers.
2.) CTers also choose to ignore the fact that the ONLY two bullets proven to have struck anyone in JFK's limousine came out of Mannlicher-Carcano rifle #C2766 belonging to none other than Lee Harvey Oswald (with that exact rifle also showing up in the Depository after the President's assassination).
3.) CTers will also dodge the important "alibi" issue....and the FACT that Lee Oswald had NO USABLE OR VERIFIABLE ALIBI for precisely 12:30 PM on November 22nd when the President was being killed below the Sniper's Nest window.
4.) CTers also want to completely ignore the overwhelming fingerprint evidence found in and around that Sniper's Nest window in the Book Depository. Multiple Oswald prints were found AT THE EXACT PLACE WHERE THE DEPOSITORY GUNMAN WAS LOCATED. Reiterating that important FACT -- Oswald's prints were all over the EXACT PLACE WHERE THE GUNMAN WAS LOCATED. How can this be swept under the rug as "unimportant" or "trivial" in nature by the CTers? It's just ridiculous to do that. Ridiculous! It's obvious Oswald was there. And FRESH prints were on those boxes too. If the prints on the cardboard boxes in the Sniper's Nest had not been "fresh", those prints would have been very difficult, if not impossible, to be POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED AS OSWALD'S.
5.) CTers also wish to explain away Oswald's obviously-suspicious and guilty-acting movements following the assassination -- e.g., Oswald decides to leave the scene of the biggest event that will ever exist at the corner of Elm & Houston Streets. Why? Logically, it's because he was running away from some criminal act he had just committed. (This idea is additionally reinforced when Oswald's OWN GUN is later found upstairs on the 6th Floor of the TSBD -- a floor from where LHO himself was SEEN firing a rifle.)
6.) CTers then make their silliest-looking of all allegations -- they try to make excuses for Oswald re. the murder of Dallas policeman J.D. Tippit. They'll say it was another killer, and not really Oswald, who murdered Tippit just 45 minutes after JFK was shot -- this despite the fact that the gun Oswald had on him when arrested was proven beyond ALL DOUBT to be the murder weapon used to kill Tippit. The laughable and disgraceful efforts by some conspiracy theorists to exonerate Oswald of the Tippit slaying are useless gestures and would certainly be laughed out of a court of law had Oswald lived for more than just two days after he gunned down President Kennedy and Officer Tippit.
7.) And another biggie -- CTers choose to ignore THE most logical and common-sense inference in the whole JFK case (a garden-variety-type logical inference, true -- but a garden-variety logical inference that nonetheless has a very good chance of being an ACCURATE one) that tells us all the following -- Since Lee Harvey Oswald's rifle was unquestionably used to kill President John F. Kennedy, this fact probably means that the one and only OWNER of said rifle (a certain Mr. Oswald) was the person who was squatting behind that rifle and aiming at JFK on 11/22/63.
Conspiracy theorists can try to fight the logical and reasonable inference provided by #7 above, if they so desire. But the mere ODDS say I'm right re. the "Owner Of Rifle = The Killer" line of reasoning, and those same odds also say (loudly) that Lee Harvey Oswald was a Presidential assassin in November of 1963.
And when #7 above is added to the mounds of other physical and circumstantial evidence in the JFK and Tippit murder cases, Lee Oswald's guilt in both of these crimes becomes crystalized as absolute fact. + See Full Customer Review |  |
